does anyone else notice the right channel on the B-side is much lower/less prominent in the mix? Wondering if this is just my copy, have tried on a number of different setups.

Less is more. The dancers of Chicago turned this one into a classic. Still fresh after more then 20 years. Damn u Larry. We've got so much equipment nowadays, but still the most, or say all, won't get as near as this one. HOUSE. For producers nowadays, listen to this one. Less is more. Try it.

i think many producers are just dumbfounded by how larry was able to fill up a track so minimally yet paradoxically so maximally..., not only is he a genius with the equipment, but what makes larry a master is that he is rhythmically gifted as well. and not just with the percussive beats, but melody-wise as well. it is the right titration of complexity and simplicity every single time. it's not easy to do at all, but mr. heard can do it in his sleep.
First commercial success by Larry Heard with more than 30.000 sold records. But DJ International got the money and Larry went to Trax Records. Classic Chicago House Track.
