Does anybody know if exist Hip Hop Forever number one?
Loads of strong tracks here, mostly from hip-hop's golden age - Gang Starr, Black Sheep, Main Source, Pharcyde, A Tribe Called Quest - interspersed well between some more average tracks. Unlike most sequels, it's an improvement on Jazz's 'Hip Hop Forever II' mix, with stronger tracks and more adventurous turntablism.

This is an essential mix for turntablists. Jazz specialises in 'backcueing' back and forth between 2 copies of the same record, usually so as to extend and, in some cases, completely transform sections of a track, and this always involves first-rate scratching. The backcueing and scratching breathe new life into the tracks, and the end result is sometimes as original as a remix. The best example of this is on 'Looking At The Front Door', with Jazz improving this already seminal hip-hop track by extending and transforming the intro-beats and opening chords. Turntablism at its very best.
