wow first time i feel like a chump for a pre-order....which i think got shipped months after it released. off center pressing, odd fuzzy distortion that washing never fixed, with splits among the seems. hey they were cool enough to offer a small sticker with the name of band and album lol. not sure but i think i shelled out 30-40 on the official webpage. now seeing it for 10 bucks new on some sites is hilarious.

This thing was a massive cash grab. Fans paid through the roof for a pre-release and then had to wait months after the release of the album in stores to receive their orders (while the price of the album plummeted elsewhere). Add to that rampant pressing defects, damaged inners and sleeve/spine seam splits due to poor packaging and shipping (which they also charged through the nose for) and this has to be the most disappointing purchase I’ve made directly from a label in 25 years of mail order.

Definitely a better master than the digital file. The pressing could be better, however, it makes up for it by having a lot more depth. Quiet parts are noisy in areas. Still not as bad as the MOV pressing of TDAGARIM.
Trash Obsession
Yeah, sounds pretty good to my ears, aside from the crackles. My records wore through the paper sleeves and spine of the packaging, so the inner artwork is now cracked. Other than that, very nicely put together.
Alien
Like others have said, crackles and pops here and there, especially on the quiet parts of the album. Packaging is nice, the paper sleeves pressed against the records and have those wavy scuffs. For $33.50 would it kill to give them to give us anti-static sleeves?
Gozragore
I've got one up for sale (near mint vinyl, vg sleeve) that I ship out with extra polyester sleeves.
Folsa
Agreed. I got the standard version today. Pops and cracks all over this thing. Gonna give it a clean wash to see if that fixes anything, because I think the mix sounds good if it weren't for so much surface noise and pops on the pressing.
Mr.Death
are you talking about standard or red/blue? I have the standard and red/blue version and I want to return the standard, but not if it sounds better than red/blue. Let me know!
hardy
Does anyone know how does it sound compared to the digital (brickwalled) version?
Funky
I would love to tell you, but my standard black edition preorder has yet to ship. Curious if anyone else had this issue or not.
Rias
FYI, I cleaned my colored vinyl and now it sounds pretty great. Still some minor crackle here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary.I'm now recalling I had the same issue with the Deja repressing a few years back. It had a whole film of gunk you could see on the records that easily washed off, wondering if it was the same pressing plant.
Ferri - My name
Has anyone heard the standard black version to compare to the indie pressing?
Gerceytone
Yeah, I was wondering if the black might sound better, but the 3 Demos Reworked 10" was on black vinyl and it sounded worse than this. Let me know how it sounds when you get it!

minusthesnake Definitely not the same master as the digital files. The vinyl sounds more spacious and dynamic. The pressing isn't the best though (I have the red/blue copy), there's a decent amount of pops and surface noise is present any time it gets quiet. Thank you! That's exactly what I was hoping to read about the master (pity, for the pressing quality, though). I think I will buy the black edition LP.
