Bathym - The Everlasting Curse
Music made by the sick for the sick is possible after all.
Former Perdition member Bathym decided this on the first demo of his solo project. 'The Everlasting Curse' is the beginnings of the project. The tracks on this demo seem to be a continuation of the darker more twisted tracks on Perdition's 'Death Knell' release but are far more warped. The utter chaos of the title track is likely to cause insanity - as that is really what it is. 'Worship Self Mutilation' has live self torture evident by some horrific screams - Bathym said in interviews he was left with some serious scaring from recording that song. The laughter in 'Suicide is Funny' - which according to Bathym is an anti-suicidal black metal song - during the gunshot of that infamous televised suicide will cause one to think no sane person could have possibly created such music!! I found the last track - a cover of Perdition's 'Commit Suicide Part 3'- to be pointless but the rest of the demo will leave a mark on your mind - whether it be good or bad!! Bathym is a band which like Perdition will be either loved, hated, or simply unable to be understood!!
Recommended for fans of Darkness Enshroud, Black Pentecost, Abruptum, and anything demented in general.
